Some counties in California allow Correspondence (Book) courses as an additional option for traffic school.

San Bernardino
San Diego
San Luis Obispo
San Mateo
San Joaquin
Santa Cruz
Santa Barbara
Sonoma
Stanislaus
Tuolumne
Yolo

If you received your citation in one of the counties above, you can choose to take a Book course.

If you received permission from the court, but that court is not listed above, you can still take the course, but you will need to send a copy of the permission along with the certificate to the court in order to get credit.
